Dental disease is a very common health problem in our pets. Signs that your pet may have dental disease include bad breath, discoloration of teeth, tartar, swollen or inflamed gums, abnormal eating or chewing habits, swelling of the face or bleeding from the mouth. We will evaluate your pet’s mouth at the annual checkup. Dental disease is serious, as it can be painful and it can affect organs in the body when the bacteria from the mouth enter the bloodstream. Our dentistry services under general anesthesia include dental radiology (x-rays), local anesthetic freezing prior to extractions, complete charting, scaling, and cleaning (prophylaxis), and post-op care and counseling.
